PDS organization wants to build a FabLab in Kibele, Tunguu! This kind of creative place is the contracted form of “Fabrication Laboratory”. Very famous in Europe, it would be a first in Zanzibar.
The main objective of PDS organization is jobs creation. We have launched a Small Scale Industries Program in Kibele, Tunguu for a few years now. The objective is to provide the community with practical skills, so that anyone can start his or her own business, creating his/her own job. association in Kibele, programs of small scale industry have been implemented for few years now. With this program, PDS develops the local economy, creating new employments.
Skilled by the previous programs which have been already implemented, and wishing to bring more help, PDS team is thinking to develop a new co-working area for engineers, designers and engineering students with tooling, computers or prototyping machinery. It will bring access to ressources so that everyone can experiment his/her ideas, giving the tools to even lauch and develop new companies and create a better future in Zanzibar.
