We have recently established a female football team called « PDS Princess Football Club », located in Central District, Kibele, Tunguu, Zanzibar. By this action, we strongly support the development of girls’ skills as well as encouraging positive involvement of women and girls in the society.
Our goal is to increase participation levels of women and girls and communicate the benefits of gender equality for all, as well as fielding a competitive team that enjoys success nationally and internationally.
Recognizing that one among the biggest problems facing African countries is violence against women and children, all our players will be ambassadors to fight abuse against women and children and our slogan will be « Enough is Enough, Stop Violence against women and Children now ». This will be our opening words when we go to play with all the domestic and foreign matches to be sure we give this message to the society.
